Continuing her promotional tour for Unapologetic, (out November 19), Rihanna sat down with Ellen DeGeneres, dishing on her love life and eventual plans for children on Wednesday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
When asked if she wanted kids, Rihanna replied “eventually,” before adding “i mean, absolutely.” The big question looming over the interview remained who would be her partner. Rihanna also noted, “”I’m pretty sure I could handle [children] if I had to on my own, but that’s not what I’m striving for.”
Despite admitting these intentions of starting a family, the singer remained coy about her on-again-off-again relationship with Chris Brown. Ellen, not be be deterred, pressed: “I want to get back to your dating situation. We’re going to narrow it down.”
The talk show host then had Rihanna play a round of “Who Would You Rather,” where the singer selected who she would date among a group of celebrity choices. Her picks included Channing Tatum and Taylor Lautner.
Rihanna also revealed a surprising ideal date night: staying at home to watch TLC’s Breaking Amish. Perhaps a more demure choice than one would have expected. Ellen also recalled a comment Rihanna made on a previous appearance that her sex life was “non-existent” and it wasn’t fun for “her.” Rihanna laughed and claimed “she” was “having a little more fun” these days.
The same day, Rihanna posted a photo of herself on Twitter, dressed in a scarf print pants, holding a vintage Chanel bag, batting some serious puppy dog eyes. The cryptic caption reads “Miss You.”
Many have suspected the tweet was directed at Brown. The pair have been spotted together regularly this fall–at the VMAs, her Halloween party and various nightclubs. The two have also collaborated for Rihanna’s new album, with a song cleverly titled “Nobodies Business.”
For now, it seems like they will let their music speak louder than a public statement.
