Lil Wayne has been released from the hospital after being treated for severe dehydration and migraines.
He was hospitalized on Friday and TMZ reported Weezy had two seizures that caused a flight to be diverted. His reps claim the reports were not true and assured the public the rapper was getting plenty of rest.
“He is at home on doctor-mandated rest and will return to work soon,” the rep said to E! News. “He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.”
The rapper is currently recovering at his mother’s house in New Orleans and logged into his Twitter page to thank his fans for their support.
“Thanx for all the prayers!” he tweeted. “I am good.” Despite the conflicting reports, fans gave the rapper an outpouring of support via Twitter.
“I think I would definitely stop listening to music if something serious happened to u and I mean that!! #YMCMB,” said one dedicated fan. Another one warned the “A Milli” rapper about his life style and quipped “steady on that lean – easy on them bars.”
It’s great that Wayne is feeling better because he will have to appear in court soon. He sued Quincy Jones III for making an unauthorized documentary about him, calling it a “scandalous portrayal.”
Jones is also accused of using Lil Wayne’s music without his permission. This hospitalization caused him to miss a court date for the case. According to TMZ, the case is being heard by a jury so the judge probably won’t grant a continuance because it could disrupt the jurors’ personal lives. If Wayne isn’t better by Monday, the judge could declare the case a mistrial or the rapper’s representation will have to try the case without him. According to the report, the rapper’s legal team will make a decision on Monday.
