Lincoln’s 2013 MKZ Hybrid Claims Luxury MPG Crown

When the all-new 2013 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid arrives later this fall, it not only arrives with a new bolder exterior, but will also be more fuel-efficient. The EPA has just certified the 2013 MKZ with a 45 mpg city, 45 mpg highway and 45 mpg combined rating, making it the most fuel-efficient luxury vehicle in America.

The EPA ratings for the 2013 MKZ Hybrid places it ahead of the MKZ’s main competitors like the Lexus 300h, Infiniti M35h and BMW ActiveHybrid 3. “The all-new MKZ Hybrid proves that thoughtful customers who prioritize fuel economy and reducing emissions do not need to compromise on luxury, driving quality or advanced technology,” said Jim Farley, group vice president, Global Marketing, Sales and Service.

The all-new MKZ, which represents the future of the Lincoln brand is offered with three different powertrains, one of which is the 188 horsepower 2.0L hybrid system. Unlike many other automakers, Lincoln does not place a price premium on the MKZ Hybrid. Buyers can choose either the base gasoline powered MKZ or the MKZ Hybrid for the same price, which starts at $35,935.
