Bristol Palin has been eliminated from Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars.
After weeks of low scores and average dance moves, Palin was finally eliminated even though she managed to get high scores from the judges this week. Palin was a good sport after it was all over. “Well we did it,” said Palin. “We made it to Week 4 and I’m happy with that, and I had an awesome time and awesome partner. These are just great people and I wish everyone the best of luck.”
Shawn Johnson and partner Derek Hough are still darlings of the competition but one of them began to have a few doubts. Hough was worried that the couple had peaked but Johnson is still optimistic saying “I think it’s just the beginning.” As usual, the pair blazed the stage with their routine, a mambo. The couple brought the crowd and judges to their feet and scored high marks. Bruno Tonioli called the dance “mesmerizing sexy out of this world. You think you’ve seen it all, and it keeps getting better! Thank you!” Carrie Ann Inaba expressed a bit of sympathy for Johnson and Hough’s competition. “If I were the other contestants, I would be a little scared of you guys right now,” said Inaba. “It’s not just about the tricks, it’s how you finish every single line.” Len Goodman wasn’t as animated but he was just as impressed as the other judges. “Good news from Goodman – I really liked it,” Len said and smiled. “To get that speed and all that athletic movement, and yet still keep rhythm and timing, that is brilliant.” The couple also impressed guest judge and veteran dancer Paula Abdul and copped a feel of Hough’s chest while singing their praises. “Shawn, you have turned into a sexy young lady. You were down and dirty with the hips, you were elegant and shining … To me, my most favorite dance,” she remarked. Overall, the couple scored a 39.5 out of 40 points.
