Mila Kunis isn’t just a pretty face. The 29-year-old actress was recently named “Esquires” Sexiest Woman Alive dethroning Rihanna and using the attention to share her views on the presidential campaign.
“The way that Republicans attack women is so offensive to me,” Kunis said in the “Esquire” interview. “And the way they talk about religion is offensive. I may not be a practicing Jew, but why we gotta talk about Jesus all the time? And it’s baffling to me how a poor person in Georgia can say, ‘I’m a Republican.’ Why?”
The actress has long been an Obama fan. Last year, Kunis told Newsbusters that she “loves Obama” and “can’t say anything bad about him.”
Kunis was also named “GQ Magazine’s” “Knockout of the Year 2011” and is No. 3 on Maxim’s 2012 “Hot 100,” behind Bar Refaeli and Olivia Munn. The “That 70’s Show” star first started turning heads on the regular when she rocked bell bottom jeans and flowered blouses and a fresh face in the campy sitcom which aired 1998-2006. Her smoldering, biker chic sexy side emerged to a wider audience in more recent productions including the apocalyptic “Book of Eli” in which she played opposite Denzel Washington. She gave viewers a glimpse of her dark side in “Black Swan.”
Fans may get an even bigger dose of Kunis’ sex appeal if she lands the role of S&M temptress Anastasia in the film production of “Fifty Shades of Grey.”
The Ukranian-born Kunis came to the United States with her parents when she was eight. Her mother, is a physics teacher; her father a mechanical engineer. She began her acting career in the early 90s and has since appeared in more than 50 movies and television shows and frequently lends her voice to animated series. Kunis is the voice of Meg on “Family Guy.” The actress, who is only temporarily between gigs, is already cast in four productions in 2013 and two in 2014.
She tells “Esquire”: “I don’t think I’m a celebrity. I’m a working actress. I think there’s a difference.”
