Kim Kardashian isn’t divorced from Kris Humphries yet but she’s already thinking about her next wedding.
Kardashian denied her wedding to Humphries was over the top because of ratings and insisted that she just likes to be over the top because of her personality.
“It had always been my dream to have a big wedding, and when people said that I’d made it over the top for the show, that was just me: I am over the top,” she told Tatler magazine.
But after the fiasco that was her wedding to Humphries, Kardashian wants to be more low-key for her next wedding. “But the next time, I want to do it on an island with just my friends and family and that’s it.”
She also denied claims that she only married Kris Humphries for ratings and that the relationship itself wasn’t real. “I mean, that is just not the person I am. Who would honestly get married for ratings? It’s not like the ratings had dropped and we needed a boost,” she quipped. “Never mind other people’s emotions—who would mess with their own emotions in that way? And for me to do it and have it not work out was the most embarrassing thing. It was risking ruining my career.”
The reality television starlet also admitted that she was embarrassed by the way she approached relationships in her past. “When I look back at interviews I gave [about previous boyfriends] saying, ‘We’re talking about marriage, etc.’ It’s embarrassing. And I really believed it at the time!” she continued. “I’m such a hopeless romantic that I’ll always believe the next one is the one.”
Despite her rocky past relationships, she is extremely happy with her new one. “It’s so nice to have a best friend in this game who understands everything you’re going through. Being with someone I’ve known for so many years is comforting. He’s been there through so many different stages of my life and before I was famous, so this relationship is a different thing entirely,” she said about her relationship with Kanye West. “It’s good to be aware that he definitely doesn’t want anything from me too, because he understands the business. I can’t even think about being with anyone else than the man I’m with.”
