Six New Posters for Brad Pitt's 'Killing Them Softly'

Killing Them Softly, which stars Brad Pitt as a slick professional enforcer (and made our list of Most Anticipated Movies Coming to Theaters This Fall), just debuted six new posters. Oh, did I just say six posters? I meant six extremely awesome, stylish, custom designed pieces of art I’d like hanging on my wall.

Designed by Gravillis Inc., whose work you might recognize from their striking campaign for Oliver Stone’s Savages and the Inglourious Basterds character posters, these posters emphasize the film’s political commentary on the greed and violence endemic in American society.

Based on the 1974 crime novel Cogan’s Trade, Killing Them Softly deals with what happens after some small-time hoods rob a high-stakes, mob-protected poker game. Pitt (as Cogan) is sent in to investigate the heist and its extremely bloody aftermath.

Blood, guns, money and America: that about sums it up. I especially like the blood stains on the edges of the design, as if the blood from one poster was dripped or smeared on the others.

Directed by Andrew Dominik, Killing Them Softly co-stars mob movie veterans Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini. The film opens in theaters on November 30th.
