Actresses Nia Long and Kristen Bell, actor Zachary Abel have joined director Phil Abraham for retail giant Target’s first shoppable short-film.
Long who has remained relatively quiet since giving birth to her second child, Kez Sunday, last year will please many of her fans with this turn-out.
The film provides viewers with an enhanced online experience where they can browse, share and purchase more than 110 of Target’s hottest fall fashion, beauty and home items, styled by celebrity stylist Jen Rade. The romantic comedy, “Falling for You,” is a direct extension of Target’s fall marketing campaign and allows viewers to shop product like never before.
Nia and Abel likely left with their own stock of Target goodies.
“The shoes I wore were so comfortable,” says Long, “and I loved the black skirt that I wore in the final scene.” Abel’s pick was a little more personal: “I definitely took a pair of Mossimo purple boxer-briefs with yellow bananas all over them.”
Details about the plot are scant but Abel did share with People magazine, “I don’t think my fellow castmates understood my commitment to being a nudist and a method actor,” he jokes. “Suffice it to say, Kristen and I did not rehearse our make-out scene!”
The film will be released in three five-minute episodes on Oct. 2, Oct. 4 and Oct. 9 at Target.com/FallingforYou and will remain online through Oct. 31 for viewers to interact with and shop, while supplies last.
