Kate Middleton topless photos strewn across five pages in French Magazine, Closer, is causing quite an outrage. Just last month the royal family was scurrying to clean up their image after Prince Harry’s naked romp in Las Vegas.
Kate and her husband Prince William, formally known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were being far more wholesome in their intention but was caught in the act of sunbathing at a private house in the South of France.
The topless photos are described as “grainy and clearly taken from far away, re-ignited Britain’s disgust with the French paparazzi, which many blame for Princess Diana’s death in 1997 when she perished in a car that crashed while being chased by paparazzi in Paris.”
Prince William and Kate were shocked and saddened when the photos surfaced.
“Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them. The incident is reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and Duchess for being so.”
The British royal family is reportedly considering legal action against the magazine, “We feel a line has been crossed with their publication.”
Of course, the Duchess isn’t the only Middleton to cause a media storm around topless photos. Her younger sister Pippa Middleton famously sent the web into a frenzy over her topless photos last year. Just one more thing to laugh about over dinner.
