Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson’s latest divorce update is becoming something of a soap opera and her latest media stop with Iyanla Vanzant presents a shocking reality. To begin, rumors have surfaced that the former Miami Dolphin wide receiver is refusing to sign the divorce papers.
Johnson, formerly Ochocinco, has repeatedly declared his love for his estranged wife and Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. Just last week he wore a shirt that read, “I just want to love you.” Prior to that Johnson got into a Twitter battle with his followers after sharing a photo of a tattoo of Evelyn’s face on his right leg.
“I never had it to begin with, i march to the beat of my own drum, F public opinion… RT @MontaviousX: you’ve officially lost it my man”
In reference to the divorce he added,
“I don’t give a flying pretzel in skittle rainbow hell what she filed for… RT@CCHx3REH: I thought she filed for divorce tho?”
Perhaps the wide receiver is hoping to tire out his estranged wife. Evelyn told People magazine in a recent interview, “You can’t repair this. Not right now. You just can’t.”
Apparently under Florida law a divorce can be finalized with a judge’s approval without Johnson’s signature.
Perhaps there is hope.
Meanwhile the Basketball Wives is set to open up again about the incident but also hopes to repair her life. Oprah’s newest show ‘Fix my Life’ with Iyanla Vanzant will premiere on September 15th on OWN with the reality TV star as the first guest. In the latest clip that surfaced Iyanla puts the truth plainly for Evelyn, “You’ve been rewarded for being a thug among women, it’s gonna cost you.” Wow. It will be interesting to see how this all turns out in the end, perhaps there will be some healing after all.
