Do you smell what The Rock is cooking? Well, if not, let me tell you what’s on the menu. The wrestler/actor has recently landed an action-packed reality series on TNT titled, The Hero.
The Hero will attempt to find a “true hero” by pushing ten contestants beyond their personal and physical limits. The players will live together in one house and compete in different missions that will “test their brains, their brawn and even their morality.” The series will also see how far contenders are willing to go for the sake of their fellow contestants. At the end of the game, one player will be named a “true hero”.
Johnson, who will serve as a mentor and motivator says, “The Hero speaks to everything I believe in when it comes to challenging ourselves, to becoming better people every day and to making the right choices while growing from the wrong ones.”
TNT’s head of programming Michael Wright added that, “The Hero is a great fit for TNT’s drama fans, whether they enjoy stories with a lot of action, suspense and danger, or stories that offer inspiration through the heroic actions of everyday people.”
The Hero is slated to debut next summer on TNT.
