Count in Oscar and Grammy-Award winner Jennifer Hudson to Oprah’s list of celebrity guest on OWN’s “Oprah Next Chapter”.
Last week Oprah scored her second highest ratings with an emotional interview with singer Rihanna. Next up for the media mogul is Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas.
According to a press release issued this week by the network, Hudson’s September 9 episode of “Next Chapter” will air as a part of OWN’s roll out of the month’s new programming schedule.
We can expect the 30-year old entertainer to dish on her adorable son David Otunga, Jr., her engagement, music and acting and taking the stand in the emotional trial of William Balfour, the man convicted of killing her mother, brother and nephew.
Meanwhile Hudson’s is filming a guest spot on NBC’s second season of “Smash,” along with American Idol alum and the show’s star, Katherine McPhee.
Last month the “Dreamgirls” actress said of her new role, “It’s gonna be challenging, and I’m a little bit intimidated to play this big Broadway star. But it’s gonna be a great experience. I can’t wait to get started.”
