Rihanna, Chris Brown, Drake All At MTV Video Music Awards

The MTV Video Music Awards is one of the most anticipated award shows of the season, but according to a source, there might be some drama backstage at this year’s show. Rihanna, Chris Brown and Drake are all nominated and scheduled to appear at the show on September 6. According to a source, MTV is hoping there will be an altercation so they can boost ratings. “They are hoping a fight breaks out. Ratings galore,” the source told Us Weekly. “Notice Drake and Chris are both up for Best Male Video.”

Brown and Drake famously had a brawl in a night club back in June after Drake allegedly sent Brown a message admitting he was sleeping with Rihanna. “It was a lot of pushing and shoving,” said another source to Us Weekly. “People were picking up ice buckets in case they had to throw it. They tore the club apart. It was bad. People went to the hospital!”

Rihanna hasn’t said anything about the fight but she was candid about her feelings for Brown during her interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired on Sunday. “I think he was the love of my life. He was my first love and I see that he loved me the same way,” she said about Brown. “I truly love him. The main thing for me is he’s at peace. I’m not at peace if he’s not happy or he’s still lonely. I care. It actually matters that he finds that peace.”

She also admitted that she and Brown will always have feelings for each other. “We love each other and we probably always will, and that’s not anything that we’re going to try to change,” said the “We Found Love” singer. The interview gave OWN its second highest ratings ever.

It is unclear whether any of the artists will perform at the award show.
