Rihanna Premieres Style Show Tonight; Nicki Minaj Performs For "Today"

Rihanna will appear tonight on SkyLiving’s “Styled to Rock” while Nicki Minaj pushed aside doctors orders to perform on the “Today” show this morning.

First, Rihanna landed an executive producer role on fashion reality show “Style to Rock.” It’s a 10-part series hosted by Nicola Roberts and Vogue blogger Henry Holland. The show is similar to other fashion reality shows like Project Runway where aspiring designers compete for the top spot. RihRih has high hopes for the designers,

“This show was a way for me to give these kids the opportunity to see how far they can go. We’re hoping to find the next superstar designer to dress superstars – someone like Vivienne Westwood or Alexander McQueen.”

The winner who has already been chosen dressed Rihanna for the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park held last month. If you’re able to get SkyLiving the show premieres at 9pm tonight.

Meanwhile the “Man Down” singer has returned from her home country Barbados where she shot several advertising campaigns as the county’s new ambassador for tourism. Rihanna was spotted last night in Beverly Hills last night heading to Scarpetta dressed comfortable chic is jean shorts, t-shirt and red heels.

Nicki Minaj – This morning Nicki Minaj performed at the Rockefeller Plaza for the Today show even though she was ordered by her doctor to rest with a bruised vocal cord.

Her fans had little mercy on the rapper/singer when one tweeted that she “could make it less obvious that she’s lip synching.”

After the performance the rapper confirmed she will take a break, “Doctors orders. Out for the count now.”

And she added, “Another x-ray cmng up! Its a bruised Vocal Chord. … Jordin Sparks was praying for me backstage cuz she had a bruised vocal chord too! Haha! We were so dramatic!”

The rest will be short lived as Nicki is scheduled to perform at the V Festival in Britain this weekend.
