Many people may not be familiar with director Kelly Reichardt and her indie films, but after securing more famous stars like Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning, and Peter Sarsgaard for her next indie film Night Moves, that may change.
Reichardt, who has gain some notoriety for her indie work Meek’s Cutoff and Wendy and Lucy, penned the script for Night Moves. The film follows three eco-terrorists who plot to blow up a dam.
Variety reports that Eisenberg will play the ringleader of the eco-warriors, Fanning will play a wealthy young girl who funds the plan, and Sarsgaard will play the bomb maker.
Reichardt’s is known for unique approach at story telling. Her western flick Meek’s Cutoff completely turned the the genre on its head. It will be interesting to see if she takes that same approach with Night Moves. The film is expected to begin shooting sometime this year.
