Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Tying The Knot This Weekend in France

While it’s not exactly Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton, this is about as close as Hollywood will ever get to a royal wedding: There’s fevered speculation in France that the supposed 50th wedding anniversary bash for Brad Pitt’s parents this weekend at Brad and Angelina Jolie’s French estate is actually going to be Brad and Angelina’s wedding.

The buzz started with the locals near their Marseille home in the south of France and it has since hit the internet and instantly zipped around the world. The speculation has been fueled by the guests already at their Chateau Miraval home—in addition to Brad’s parents, Bill and Jane, jeweler Robert Procop, who made Angelina’s engagement ring, is also there.

“Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now,” a source told The Sun, based in the UK. “They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweler is here.”

While Brangelina have six kids together—three biologically and three by adoption—they denied for years that they would ever get married. In fact, Pitt said they would get married “when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able”—a reference to the legalization of same-sex marriage. But Pitt, 48, recently seemed to have a change of heart brought on by his kids, who wondered why their parents weren’t married. In April, they announced their engagement. After the engagement was announced, sources said they were allowing their children to make many of the wedding decisions—including letting the kids present Angelina with dress designs that she was reportedly taking seriously.

The couple met in 2005 on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith, a movie in which they play divorcing contract killers who try to kill each other. Though rumors swirled that their relationship started while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston, the couple denied it.

The couple has always planned to marry at their French estate—and Brad recently bought Angelina, 37, a $400,000 watch as a pre-wedding gift.

But they can’t have a wedding without George Clooney, one of Pitt’s best friends.

“George and Brad are best pals, there’s no way he’d miss it,” a source said. “He’s at his house in Italy, but could fly to Marseille in an hour. There’s a real buzz around the estate.”
