Michael Clarke Duncan Remains Hospitalized After Heart Attack

After suffering a heart attack about a month ago, Michael Clarke Duncan has been removed from the intensive care unit, but still remains hospitalized.

The 54-year-old actor, best known for his role in the 1999 Tom Hanks hit The Green Mile, was rushed to the hospital after suffering a myocardial infarction on July 13.

Celebrity Apprentice reality Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, who has been dating Duncan for two years, found the actor lying on the floor in in distress and kept him alive with CPR until the ambulance arrived.

“Everyday GOD continues to smile upon my luv Michael Clarke Duncan on this arduous road to recovery,” she recently Tweeted. “God is with us every step of the way!!”

Duncan’s publicist Joy Fehily released an email statement Monday (Aug. 6) that says the actor “was just moved from the intensive care unit, but remains hospitalized.”

“His family are firm believers in the power of prayer and have asked that you keep him in yours during this time,” the statement continues. No further information was available on his condition.
