Elton John Goes After Madonna Again in Legends Feud

You thought Drake and Chris Brown was bad? Check out the mammoth grudge fest that music legends Elton John and Madonna are engaged in.

Sir Elton went on Australia TV on Sunday night and trashed Madonna so hard we almost expected the police to show up. The two have been engaged in a huge feud since Elton made fun of Madonna at the British Q Awards for lip synching during a live performance. From then it’s been all ugliness.

John’s latest barrage comes as Madonna has released her 12th studio album, “MDNA.”

“Why is she such a nightmare?” John asked rhetorically on Australia’s “Sunday Night.” “Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c–t,” he added.

But he wasn’t done yet.

“If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like Ray of Light and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly,” John said. “But no, she had to go and prove … she looks like a f*cking fairground stripper.”

I think it would be safe to say he’s not a fan. At a recent concert in Istanbul, the 53-year-old singer pulled down her bra and proferred her nipple to the crowd.

For her part, Madonna has remained surprisingly silent in the face of John’s onslaught. But that doesn’t mean she’s stayed out of trouble. Her MDNA tour has been stirring up controversy wherever she goes—which one suspects is the way Madonna likes it. First she displayed World War II-era footage of the Warsaw Uprising at a tour stop in Warsaw, Poland, responding to protestors. She was also booed and called a “slut” by fans last month at an unexpected Paris show following a 45-minute set. In fact, France’s ultra-conservative National Front party announced they will file a lawsuit against Madonna for her use of Nazi imagery at a tour stop in Paris. Madonna has also canceled the Australian leg of her MDNA tour, and was recently sued over an uncleared sample on her 1990 hit “Vogue.”

All in a day’s work for Madonna.
