Tia Mowry Leaves BET For Nickelodeon With New Sitcom

Tia Mowry may have quit BET’s The Game but she has a lot more projects on the horizon. In addition to pushing her new book and an ABC movie, the new mom to Cree Taylor may have found a new long-term home with Nickelodeon.

“Family comedy ‘Instant Mom’, which has Tia Mowry in negotiations to star, is for nighttime channel Nick at Nite that targets adult/adolescent viewers will,” reported film site Deadline.

Writers Warren Bell, Jessica Butler and executive producer Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment will reportedly feature an all-black cast. The sitcom will follow a 25-year old party girl (Tia Mowry) who marries an older man with two children. The sitcom is based on the real lives of Bell and Butler and will premiere on Nick at Nite.

Tia and sister Tamera are also filming the second season of their hugely popular reality show, ‘Tia & Tamera’.
