Award Winning Movie 'Middle Of Nowhere' Releases Hot New Trailer

We just got our fingers on a hot new trailer for Ava DuVernay’s drama Middle of Nowhere.

The film follows Ruby, a young African American medical student who places her dreams and aspirations on hold in the wake of her husband’s incarceration. Facing a life filled with shame and separation, Ruby is determined to stand by her spouse despite his eight year prison sentence, However a recently discovered betrayal has “shaken her to her core.” Now this “steadfast wife” embarks on a new path of self-discovery that leads her in shocking directions and caught between two men.

DuVernay won the Best Director Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival for Middle of Nowhere, the first African American to do so.

These days the pure drama has a difficult time getting into theaters, but this indie film looks promising enough for a theater release. It boasts breakthrough performances from David Oyelowo (Red Tails, The Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes),  Omari Hardwick (The A-Team, Kick-Ass) and newcomer Emayatzy Corinealdi. The movie also stars Lorraine Touissaint, Edwina Findley and Sharon Lawrence.

Middle of Nowhere debuts in theaters October 13th this Fall.  Check out the full trailer below:
