Jennifer Lopez Releases Video for ‘Goin In,’ Featuring Flo Rida

Though she has just stepped away from one of the most popular television programs in history, American Idol, things are looking fabulous for Jenny from the Bronx these days. To celebrate her 43rd birthday, Jennifer Lopez is enjoying the release of her popping new video for her song “Goin’ In.”

The video is a visual treat, with Lopez displaying the full range of her dance skills, her spectacular body and a stunning array of colorful, eye-catching outfits. And to start it off, Lopez stares lovingly into the camera with pink, rhinestone-studded lips.

Joining J-lo on the track and in the video is Lil John and Flo Rida, who Lopez told MTV was “perfect” for the song.

“Why Flo Rida? You know, we thought about it and [it] was like, ‘Who should we get? Should we get Big Sean or Flo Rida? All these names come up,” Lopez said to MTV News’ Sway Calloway. “I just think that the style of the song really fit [Flo Rida]. It was half-dance, but half kind of hard too, you know, and I just felt like he was the perfect one.”

Lopez, who is currently touring the U.S. with Enrique Iglesias, said there were a few other rappers who agreed to do it, but she went with Flo Rida.

“We had a couple of people who said yes, that they would get on it, but [Flo Rida] just seemed like the perfect one,” Lopez said.

For his part, Flo Rida told MTV that it was an “honor.”

“I’m a big fan of J.Lo,” he said. “Her people reached out to me. It was just an honor to get a call from J.Lo. [I’m a] big fan of her film work and her musical talent, and we did the collaboration ASAP.”

He said he was relieved when he found out she liked it.

“When J.Lo heard the verse, immediately, even some friends that I know that know her, called me up and was just like, ‘Yo, man, you killed the verse.’ So I know she was pleased with it and [I’m] just happy about the whole situation,” he said.
