Willow Smith is slamming the critics who has something to say about her every move including getting a fake tongue ring, shaving off her hair, dyeing it and her fashion choices.
During an exclusive interview with Yahoo’s Michael Yo, Willow said her peace,
“If I know what’s true in my heart and my soul, then what people say can’t shape that. I can say, “I don’t have a fake tongue ring,” and they’ll be like, “aw, she covered it up!” People have their own thing regardless. And, that is totally okay with me. If you don’t like me, if you like me; both are equally cool. I send love and positive energy to all those people in their lives. I hope they find where they’re meant to be.”
On the topic of being herself the 11-year old Smith added,
“Grown ups [have] children and they say “you can be whatever you want to be.” And then they go on my Instagram and comment, ‘How can your parents let you go out looking like that?’ Telling me that I can’t do what I want to do. When I’m someone’s child. You’re telling your kid they can be this but telling me I can’t be that.”
Willow Smith seems extremely comfortable with herself and she has her parents Jada Pinkett and Will to thank for that.
Speaking of Will, he’s reportedly shooting the next installment of Fast and the Furious and brought along Willow for a birthday party at his co-star’s home Tyrese Gibson’s. The party was for Tyrese’s 5-year old daughter Shayla, it was a mermaid theme.
