Kim Kardashian is no longer the highest paid woman on the small screen. Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has edged her out of the top spot, earning an estimated $19 million last year, according to Forbes List of Highest-Paid TV Actresses.
Vergara raked in her dinero from multiple income streams which include her hit show Modern Family, a Kmart clothing line that reportedly compensated her $7 million in advance, and $12 million in endorsements deals for Cover Girl, Pepsi, Burger King, Comcast and State Farm.
The actress’ big screen appearances also added to her big haul. Over the past 12 months, Vergara collected paychecks from The Smurfs, New Year’s Eve and The Three Stooges.
But that’s not all! Vergara also saw cash from Latin World Entertainment, the media company she co-founded in 1986. LatinWe claimed $27 million in earnings in the past year.
Even though Sofia Vergara brought in more money than Kim Kardashian last year, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was not far behind with an impressive $18 million in earnings. Forbes credited Kardashian’s very good year to her $30 million deal with the E! network, her fragrance, and her stake in the Sears clothing line shared with sister’s Khloe and Kourtney.
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, Real Housewives alum Bethenny Frankel, and Kim Kardashian’s sister Khloe rounded off the top 5 of the Forbes List of Highest-Paid TV Actresses.
