Jay-Z, Roc-a-Fella Sued for $7 Mil Over Logo Design

Jay-Z and Roc-a-Fella are the target of a lawsuit filed by a New York City designer who claims that he designed the Roc-a-Fella logo 17 years ago and is owed $7 million in unpaid royalties.

The designer, Dwayne Walker, brought the suit in federal court in Manhattan , claiming he created the design in the early days when Roc-a-Fella was just starting. The logo is made up of the letter R with a record and Champagne bottle.

Roc-a-Fella is now a subsidiary of Universal Music Group.
