Rihanna is on the cover of the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar and she opened up to the magazine about falling “so hard” for an ex-boyfriend. Although she doesn’t name anyone in particular, the quotes have led many to think she is speaking of Chris Brown.
“When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love,” she said to the magazine. “The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different.”
That change is very likely to be the night in February 2009 when Brown brutally beat her in a car as they were headed to the Grammy awards. Understandably, she is cautious about falling in love again. “I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life,” said the Bajan singer. “I’m afraid of feeling that again.”
She maintains that her love life is pretty boring at the moment, despite rumors circulating that a recent altercation between her ex and rapper Drake was about her. “I have been conservative in my love life… it’s pretty much nonexistent,” she continued. “If I come across someone who I find really cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find that we’re getting too close I just — I don’t let people in.”
