During a tour of The Menil Collection with her sister Solange, mom Tina Knowles and three young friends Beyonce revealed she will begin work on her fifth studio album.
The Culture Map details Beyonce and her family’s specially arranged private trip to the museum,
“Menil curator Toby Kamps escorted the group through the museum before Menil communications director Vance Muse took over and escorted the ladies to the upstairs treasure rooms.
Muse reports that they were particularly taken with Yves Klein’s blue paintings. A happy coincidence, “Celebration in Blue” is the theme of The Menil’s 25th anniversary gala in November and Klein’s blue paintings will be on view.
Beyoncé told Kamps that she is about to start recording a new album but not before her merry band visits Marfa to view the Donald Judd and Dan Flavin works at the Chinati Foundation.”
One of the Beyonce’s favorite producer The Dream also confirmed in December of last year that Bey was ready to work, “She never stops doing anything”. It’s safe to say Beyonce was plotting this album for sometime.
