Jennifer Hudson had a serious case of pre-wedding jitters, but has gotten over her fears and is ready to become Mrs. David Otunga.
“Jennifer started feeling like it just wasn’t right,” the source says. “So many bad things have happened since they got engaged in 2008 that have prevented them from finally getting married, and she was worried that she was just trying too hard to make something happen that wasn’t meant to be.”
David Otunga, her fiancé of four years, spoke a few weeks ago about how the couple was waiting for the trial of the American Idol alum’s murdered family members to be over with to walk down the aisle. While, we’re sure that added its own level of stress, Radar Online is reporting Hudson was so nerve-wrecked, at one time, about tying-the-knot that she once returned her engagement ring.
The “I Got This” singer had a breaking point around the time where her brother-in-law, William Balfour, was found guilty of murdering her mother, brother, and nephew.
“Jennifer and David quietly called off the wedding a few months ago and she even returned her ring to him. She was extremely stressed out and processing a lot of emotions about the murder of her family after the trial ended, and she just cracked.”
However, after some cleared headspace and being able to reach some closure after Balfour was found guilty, Jennifer decided to fight for her relationship.
“After things settled down, she realized that he was her rock and that she wanted to spend her life with him and keep building their family together. She is more sure than ever now that she is ready to get married.”
Reportedly the Oscar winner is in wedding mode now though the now clothes designer is being mum about the actual wedding date.
