Sarah Wayne Callies has reportedly been cast in a new found-footage tornado movie. Now, The Walking Dead fans are wondering what is in store for her in the upcoming season of the show.
According to Deadline, the actress will play Allison Stone in New Line’s untitled Steve Quale found-footage tornado thriller, which was at one time titled Category Six. The film follows a group of high school students in the aftermath of a destructive mega-tornado.
The details on how Callies’ character will fit into the storyline are slim, but her current run on AMC’s zombie-filled drama, The Walking Dead, along with her experience playing the female lead in Fox’s action drama, Prison Break , should make her a good fit for the movie.
Callies’ casting on the project has cast doubt amongst viewers that her character “Lori” will survive Season 3 of Walking Dead. Although she wouldn’t be the first character sent to the chopping blocks soon after being hired for a new gig, and the show doesn’t hesitate to off main characters, beloved or not, Deadline reports that her participation in the zombie apocalypse series is rock solid.
