‘Jeopardy!’s Alex Trebek Suffers A Heart Attack

Yesterday, legendary Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek checked into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after having a mild heart attack.

Jeopardy’s producer Kevin McCarthy spoke on the host health issue saying, “Trebek is in good spirits and is undergoing further testing, He is expected to fully recover and be back on Jeopardy! when production begins taping in July for the new season, the show’s 29th.”

This is Trebek’s second heart attack. Back in 2007, he suffered his first mild heart attack in the month of December.

George Alexander “Alex” Trebek is a Canadian-American television personality. He has been the host of the syndicated game show Jeopardy! since 1984, and prior to that, he hosted such other game shows as Pitfall and High Rollers. He has made appearances in numerous television series, usually portraying himself(Wiki).

Last night, the 71-year-old and the rest of the Jeopardy! staff won a Daytime Emmy for Best Game/Audience Participation Show.
