UPDATE-In case you haven’t heard Basketball Wives season five will be short three wives. Jennifer Williams, Kesha Nichols and Royce Reed all got the axe. It appears however that the show’s breakout star and catalyst for the boycott, Evelyn Lozada is too busy on her book tour to comment on the latest news. Evelyn Lozada’s blog has remained suspiciously blank after the reunion aired since then it’s been filled with pictures from the various stops on her tour. One person however, has allegedly expressed their shock over the mass firing.
Executive producer Shaunie O’Neal is reportedly telling friends she had nothing to do with firing.
Shaunie’s alleged confession comes as a surprise given the interview she did last week admitting to Kevin Frazier she would without question fire three cast members. It seemed her wish was granted. However according to TMZ, Shaunie is telling friends Shed Media leaves her in the dark when top level decisions are being made. In addition, she’s willing to leave the franchise if changes are not made to minimize the drama. Right.
We’re calling Shaunie’s bluff on this one. In addition to her interview with Kevin her bestie Evelyn had told CNN Showbiz she did not know what the cast will look like for season 5 but “can guarantee it’s definitely going to be different.”
