Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained is currently shooting in Louisiana and with the release of two trailers the anticipation continues to grow for this film. Even though there is a sense that production is coming to an end somehow production is still casting.
Deadline reported that Jonah Hill has just been cast in the film. Hill is set to play Scotty Harmony, the kid who loses Django’s slave wife, Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) to Calvin Candie, the flamboyant slave master played by Leonardo Dicaprio.
Hill was offered this role before but had to turn it down due to scheduling conflicts.
The busy actor had just finished The Sitter and went straight to working on 21 Jump Street and The Watch. In addition to Django Unchained, he will be joining Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street also staring opposite DiCaprio.
The 29-year-old actor is currently filming The End of the World, starring opposite Emma Watson and James Franco.
