Ben Schwartz has signed on to join the cast of Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake’s new movie Runner, Runner.
Schwartz is currently one of the co-stars of Showtime’s House of Lies. The actor will play a friend of Timberlake’s character in the movie about online gambling, which will also include Affleck in a starring role.
Schwartz has been getting plenty of roles since appearing on NBC’s Parks and Recreation and Showtime’s House of Lies. He was recently cast in 20th Century Fox’s new animated pilot Working Class Hero as one of the lead voices alongside Patton Oswalt. Schwartz has also just finished filming Better Living Through Chemistry.
Brad Furman is directing Runner, Runner, which is about the offshore online gaming industry and is based on a tense relationship between a business founder (Affleck) and his protege (Timberlake). Timberlake’s character loses money to Affleck’s character, and then tensions later arise.
Production is to start this summer in Puerto Rico.
