Will Smith Explains Infamous Kiss With Reporter, Talks ‘Bad Boys 3’

Hollywood heavyweight Will Smith wrapped up his promotional tour for his new film Men in Black 3 by telling David Letterman about his infamous run-in with an overzealous TV prankster who tried to kiss him and by giving fans some exciting news about the coming of Bad Boys 3 on BET’s “106 & Park.”

The appearance on Letterman gave Smith an opportunity to address a recent incident that received global attention. While walking the red carpet Smith was approached by Ukrainian reporter Vitalii Sediuk and, according to Smith, the meeting went south quickly.

“He says, “I’m your biggest fan, can I have a hug?” So I go to give this joker a hug, and he tries to lean in and kiss me!” Smith said. He quickly shoved the reporter away and followed it with a firm-yet-playful slap to the face. Vitalii later apologized for his actions.

The next day on “106 and Park,” after being asked by host Rosci Diaz about the possibility of a third installment of the Bad Boys movie franchise Smith, said, “I talked to Martin [Lawrence] about that a couple of weeks ago. Martin is into it and we got a couple of screenplays and the story’s gotta be right.”

Smith did not give a date for the start of production, but for fans looking to see the star in action, check out Men In Black 3, which hits theater’s nationwide tomorrow
