Great Gatsby’ Trailer: Leo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire And Jay-Z

You know what the best part of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “Great Gatsby” is? When Jay-Z and Kanye’s “No Church in the Wild” plays in the background at a party on West Egg. Wait, that never happened? That can’t be true — according to the trailer for Baz Lurhmann’s “Gatsby” movie, it did!

Yes, the first footage from the upcoming Fitzgerald adaptation has just hit the web, and it’s full of dancing, drinking and hip-hop, all set in the colorful, stylized New York community you probably don’t remember from the books. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Gatsby and Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, the film is a (very) updated take on the classic Fitzgerald novel.

Looks aside, the movie appears to follow the same iconic story of the wealthy Jay Gatsby and his curious neighbor, Carraway. (Then again, this thing is in 3D, so who knows?)

You can check out the full trailer above. (Watch at your own risk, Fitzgerald, fans!)

“The Great Gatsby” hits theaters Christmas Day.
