Serena Williams Beats Maria Sharapova Then Releases Rap Song

Serena Williams was not expected to win against Maria Sharapova according to avid tennis watchers – but the stats told a different story. Serena blasted pass Maria at the Madrid Open semifinals with a 6-1, 6-3 score. It’s her 7th straight win against the No. 2 ranked Sharapova.

Serena dictated the momentum early on in the match with six aces and earning two early breaks to clinch the first set. Sharapova hoped to even things out on the second set as she earned an early break – but it wasn’t to be when she double faulted for the sixth time.

Going into the semifinals Williams will face either U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur or Czech Lucie Hradecka. The odds are in Williams favor to secure a spot in the finals. She has improved her score on clay this year to 11-0.

On another note, Serena made her rap debut this morning – no that is not a typo.

“I ball hard no tennis racket/I can’t see these haters through my Gucci glasses/I make hits like batting practice–they be like Serena, is you really rapping?”
