A fire broke out at Tyler Perry’s Atlanta studio Tuesday night. The Atlanta Fire Department responded to a blaze in one of the studio buildings in the center of the 30-acre Southwest Atlanta complex. There were no reports of any injuries or deaths.
According to a local news network, there were at least two buildings that collapsed. Eyewitnesses stated that they could see the fire in the distance, but thought is was part of a film in progress.
Perry was on the scene to survey the damage of to his 200,000 square-foot facility that housed five sound stages and a 400-seat theater.
The cause of the fire is still unknown but a full investigation is underway to determine the reason.
The film mogul is currently shooting films such as Madea’s Witness Protection and The Marriage Counselor, however it is unclear how this new unforeseen incident will impact the progess of these filmings.
