The summer box office season is quickly approaching and this is the time of year that the studios look forward to. This is when they release their biggest budget films expecting huge returns, which they always get and here’s an example:
Paramount Pictures released a new trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation. From the looks of this preview this film is going to double the box office gross of the 2009 G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bruce Willis and Adrianne Palicki join as newcomers while Channing Tatum reprises his role as Captain Duke Hauser.
In the sequel, the Joes were ambushed on their base by an army of Cobra’s assassins and most of the Joes were wiped out.
Without any strong counter-attacks from the Joes, Cobra seizes the government. Now all that remains are a few Joes that have to pull themselves together and strike back.
The film is directed by rising star director Jon M. Chu and features Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce and Ray Stevenson.
