NeNe Leakes may have a permanent second hand woman if Marlo Hampton replaces newly resigned season veteran Sheree Whitfield on the next season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Whitfield announced after the first of the three part reunion aired that she’s leaving the franchise. During part two of the reunion NeNe revealed Sheree can thank her for the job.
“Everybody interviewed, but it goes beyond that. Sheree interviewed, however they thought she was a tad bit boring, and I went to bat for her.”
While Sheree argued getting the part on her own merit Cynthia Bailey was already planning her replacement.
Speaking of Marlo, Cynthia revealed to THR, “I like shooting with her just in terms of Marlo as a cast mate.” She continued, “Whenever she’s in the equation, things always take a different turn than what they thought it was going to be. So, Marlo would be really, really great to throw into the mix and see what’s going to happen. Things usually are always a little different when she is around. I can honestly say that South Africa would not have been the same if Marlo Hampton had not come on that trip.”
So will Marlo Hampton be the new housewife?
I hope Marlo is the new house wife, because she brings it…drama and all!! They should also consider getting Jen off the Basketball wives to add to the equations. I’m a shorty, but I’m Team #The Talls all day! 🙂
Also in the reunion, I noticed that Nene said the producers wanted women “behind the gate”, meaning they were loooking for a certain Uptown Yuppie type, or upper class suburbia type. I guess when Sheree fronted for 4 seasons without doing a thing to get Chateau Sheree, aka NEVERLAND off the ground, they were done with her.
OMG, NOOOOOOOOO please do not add this women on the show permanently, I think she got too much air time to begin with this season. To be honest Nene, and Cynthia should go as well. And let’s be honest Cynthia is boring. Let alone I think the entire HOUSEWIVE franchise in general should be taken off the air. At this point they are all starting to act like teenagers and its just bad T.V.
