Channing Tatum Shows Off His Body In New Film 'Magic Mike'

Warner Bros Pictures released the trailer to Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming film Magic Mike. The movie, which stars Channing Tatum (21 Jump Street) and Matthew McConaughey (The Lincoln Lawyer), tells a story that is inspired by Tatum’s real life.

Tatum plays Magic Mike, an experienced dancer who mentors a younger dancer and shows him the fine art of partying, picking up women and fast money. After meeting Page, a female actress played by Cody Horn, she convinces Mike to consider the way he is living his life and pushes him to live up to his true potential.

McConaughey plays the role of the hype man, introducing male strippers to the crowds of thirsty women…  But don’t get your hopes up, the trailer focuses more on Magic Mike’s relationship with Page, than stripper routines.

The film is directed by Oscar winning director Steven Soderbergh, best known for more serious films like Traffic, Erin Brockovich and Haywire. This release looks to be pure comedy in the midst of the summer action film blockbuster season.

Also starring is Alex Pettyfer, Matthew Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Riley Keough, and Olivia Munn.

Magic Mike hits the big screen on June 29th. Preview the trailer below:
