Apparently filming for The Avengers is not yet completed according to Robert Downey Jr. He claims he and his co-stars still have one scene left to shoot. “Not to keep you guessing, but we’re actually not done shooting. We are shooting one more scene tonight. I’m not kidding.” Downey said at a press conference before the premiere of The Avengers.
Downey’s statement was backed by co-star Mark Ruffalo saying that he, Downey, and the rest of the cast were planning to film something Thursday night. “Yeah, yeah — we’re shooting a scene tonight,” Ruffalo said. “I don’t know where it’s going to go. I really don’t. We don’t even really know what it is yet, but we’re shooting a scene tonight.” He then gestured to his hotel closet and said, “All I know is that my costume is in there, we’re putting on make-up, and they’re saying show up here and we’re going to tell you what we’re going to do. ”
Ruffalo plays the The Incredible Hulk whose costume is a 15ft CGI green man. Co-writer/director Joss Whedon later announced that the actors were pulling everyone’s leg.
The Avengers hits theaters May 4th.
