Whoopi Goldberg Joins Cast Of 'Glee'

Whoopi Goldberg is joining the dramedy Glee for a few episodes.

The View co-host will play Carmen Tibideaux, a theater veteran and professor at the New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts, where Kurt and Rachel audition to gain entry.

The Oscar award-winning actress, who won her Academy Award for her role in Ghost, will appear on the show starting May 1st and could be featured for three episodes.

Goldberg is the latest star in a long line of high-profile guest stars to appear on the musical dramedy. Gwyneth Paltrow has won an Emmy in her role as Holly Holliday on the Fox hit TV show in the episode “The Substitute”.

Entertainment president Kevin Reilly has season 4 of Glee on his mind saying:

“People are going to graduate, and their story lines will carry on through graduation into season 4, also keeping the William McKinley High School paradigm intact and building in elements of characters who have graduated,” he said in January. “It’s a very cool way they’ve figured out how to do that.”

Glee will return Tuesday, April 10 at 8 p.m.
