The Kardashians may have a new rival to reckon with, as E! has announced Clint Eastwood & his family will be the feature of a new reality family show on the network.
But don’t expect to get up close and personal with the veteran actor and director, because Clint will not be the major focus of the show. His wife, Dina, landed the show, titled Mrs. Eastwood & Company, which will mostly feature her and their teenage daughters Francesca and Morgan. Francesca Eastwood is Dina’s stepdaughter and Clint’s child with Frances Fisher.
Dina’s band, Overtone, the all-male, six member, South African vocal group that she manages, will also me a major focus on the family reality series. This is the meaning behind “Company” in the title.
“Nothing is more important to me than family – no matter how you define that,” Dina Eastwood said in a statement. “People might be surprised by how we live our lives and our unconventional approach, and I also believe that it’s hard not to fall in love with my band, ‘Overtone.’”
“I’m really proud of my family,” Clint Eastwood said. “They are a constant source of inspiration and entertainment.”
Mrs. Eastwood & Company is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, the people behind MTV’s long-running Real World and E’s other hit family show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The 10 episode half-hour series debuts May 20.
