American Idol Finalist Jermaine Jones Disqualified For Lying About Criminal Past

Jermaine Jones has been disqualified from American Idol after it was revealed that he concealed numerous crimes from his past.

TMZ reports. Idol producers just found out that Jones was reportedly charged with two crimes back in 2011, one involving violence. Both times Jones gave fake names to police. In addition he didn’t tell producers of the show that he has outstanding warrants.

Jones tweeted from his Idol twitter feed ” Awww I will no longer b on the show.” His twitter account was deleted shortly than after.

Jones, dubbed the “gentle giant” by American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, departure will be made into a grand spectacle on Wednesday night’s broadcast.

During season 2 semifinalist Jared Andrews was booted from the show over assault charges, while finalist Corey Clark was disqualified over pending battery charges. Just like Jones they all lied about their criminal past when registering for the show.

American Idol airs every Wednesday at 8pm on FOX.
