Beyonce's Rep Deny Starring Role In Musical By Glee Creator Murphy

UPDATE-Beyonce will reportedly join her BFF Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and Saturday Night Live’s Adam Samberg in a musical film called “One Hit Wonders” by Ryan Murphy.

According to Deadline, the musical comedy will follow Witherspoon, Paltrow and Diaz as former 90’s pop stars who hit it big then fizzled with one-hit wonders. The trio comes together and forms a super group of sorts with Samberg coming up with the movie’s songs.

Beyonce’s role in the musical is currently a mystery.

According to reports the film idea came to life when Cameron, Reese and Gwyneth met with Murphy for lunch at West Hollywood’s Soho House late last year and decided they wanted to do a fun project together. Sony allegedly picked up the project within minutes of the pitch – hmm – who knew it was that easy!

Beyonce who gave birth to her first baby Blue Ivy Carter in early January is also working on two new albums in addition to her already agreed on starring role in the remake of a ‘Star is Born’ with Clint Eastwood.

Deadline has received an update from Beyonce’s rep stating she will NOT star in ‘One Hit Wonders’ – baby Blue’s mother still has plenty to keep her busy!
