Rihanna Tweets Birthday Cake Remix With Chris Brown To Displeased Fans

Chris Brown took to Twitter to wish ex-girlfriend Rihanna happy birthday just after midnight for the world to see.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBYN!” the 22-year-old tweeted joining a flock of the Barbados singer’s fans who inundated the star’s timeline.

Rihanna, whose birth name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, acknowledged the tweet from her ex-boyfriend with a simple “Thanks!” attached to the retweet of Brown’s original tweet.

The birthday tweet follows a bevy of rumors involving the two from Chris attending the “Only Girl In The World” private birthday bash, to the two working on Rihanna’s upcoming single “Birthday Cake” and beginning of the year tweets where the performers professed their love for one another.

The three-word tweet from Brown has ushered in more speculation if he and the fashion-forward pop-star are back together or hooking up despite Chris’s much publicized 2009 assault on the “Man Down” singer—and current girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.

According to TMZ, sources close to Tran insists that she is unfazed by the Rihanna hook-up hoopla because she and the “Excuse Me Miss” singer are solid and living together now.

How did she feel about Chris attending Rihanna’s birthday bash?

Karrueche thought nothing of the party attendance because Brown came home to her and flew her to Miami so they could celebrate Valentine’s Day. Meanwhile Rihanna is in London dropping in on fashion shows and preparing for a performance at the Brit Awards on Tuesday.

Another 24 hours later Rihanna tweeted a link to her ‘Birthday Cake’ remix featuring Chris Brown.

“@chrisbrown Turn up the music remix #RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy!!!”

Chris Brown returned the favor tweeting, “#RihannaNavy Come and put ya name on it!!!!! RT @chrisbrown: @rihanna YIKES!!! Cake, cake, cake!”

Despite the collaborators excitement their fans are not as eager to jump on board:
