Katy Perry will keep all of her assets during her brief marriage to comedian Russell Brand. Katy and Brand married in India in October 2010; just over a year later Brand filed for divorce.
Reports quickly serviced that the estranged couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement which meant Russell was entitled to half of Katy’s alleged $40 – $70 million net worth.
In the end, Russell took the high road an opted out of his soon-to-be-ex wife’s earnings. According to court documents dated February 7, the soon-to-be exes entered “into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.”
Katy of course tried to protect her assets when she asked the judge to deny spousal support to Russell – to which he later agreed. How many divorces are this amicable when upwards of $70 million is at stake?!
Katy who returned to her maiden named confirmed just how happy she was when she signed her divorce papers with a happy face and a heart!
Gisele Bunchen Receives An Apology From Brandon Jacobs
New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is eating his words after stating Gisele Bundchen should “stay cute and shut up.” Brandon who was speaking with reporters on Tuesday is responding to the much criticized comments made by Tom Brady’s wife after the New England Patriots lost to the Giants.
“My husband cannot f*cking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”
Gisele made the divisive comments to a friend not in a public forum. So while she’s now dubbed the most hated wife in Boston and accused of ‘breaking the code’ the only person she needs to contend with is her husband – privately. Jacobs on the other hand needed to answer to his comments via the same medium they were received – in public. While speaking on the The Doug Gottlieb Show, Jacobs made his apology:
“Given the fact that it’s a colleague of mine’s wife, I do apologize for saying that, because I shouldn’t have said that. It’s his wife and I should respect that just as much as anyone else.”
