Universal just released the trailer to The Bourne Legacy starring Jermey Renner as the new highly trained lethal assassin.
The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes control in the next chapter of the mega popular spy franchise that has generated almost $1 billion at the global box office. Gilroy expands the Bourne franchise, originally created by Robert Ludlum, by introducing us to a new hero named Aaron Cross. Renner’s character Cross gets in life-or-death situations that have been perpetuated by the events of the first three films.
Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, along with franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn.
The Bourne Legacy is written by Tony and Dan Gilroy.
