Britney Spears‘ loyal fans on twitter have launched a campaign to land the pop star on ABC’s hit show ‘Modern Family’.
It began on Tuesday when the ‘I Wanna Go’ singer tweeted “I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of Modern Family! Funniest show on TV.”
Sofia Vergara of Modern Family quickly retweeted while co-star Julie Bowen tweeted: “holy half shirt! Thanks, Britney!
It didn’t take long for fans to jump in and create the hashtag #GetBritneyOnModernFamily.
“Ahhhh I would love to be on it!” tweeted back Spears. And so it began.
The campaign will likely work for Spears who also guest starred on ‘Will & Grace’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother.’ Most recently the newly engaged pop star landed a guest role on ‘Glee’ after her manager Adam Leber started a similar campaign. And it doesn’t hurt that Britney’s episode is ranked amongst the top three highest-rated episodes of ‘Glee’
