Will Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ever get married? If it was up to the media, the couple would be locking lips in a Las Vegas chapel tonight with all six of their kids watching.
Pitt’s latest comments about proposing to his longtime partner Jolie, were taken way out of context by the press.
“I think anything said tends to be blown out of proportion,” Jolie said on the red carpet at the SAG Awards in L.A., when asked about what her feelings were regarding the latest rumors of wedding ring talk.
Pitt intervened saying, “Yeah, that was my fault.”
Pitt did an interview with CBS News saying that he and Jolie are “getting a lot of pressure from the kids. It means something to them,” he continued. “We will [get married] someday, we will. It’s a great idea. ‘Get mommy a ring.’ ‘OK, I will, I will.'”
After the story was released, the media assumed that the love-birds may be walking down the aisle in the near future.
Last week, Pitt fueled everyones’ speculations again after he reiterated the pressure from his kids to The Hollywood Reporter.
“It seems to mean more and more to our kids,” he said. “We made this declaration some time ago that we weren’t going to [get married] till everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out … it means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment.”
Pitt and Jolie both have been married in the past.
