Estelle Gets Personal With New ‘Thank You’ Video

Estelle releases an official video for her second single ‘Thank You’ from her third album ‘All Of Me’ which is scheduled to hit shelves on February 28.

The Akon-written song and Iren Sheffield directed video makes for possibly one of the biggest releases for the British songstress.

Though the cinematic video is being amped for the panache she maintains after learning her love interest, played by Tracey Dukes (“I Want To Work For Diddy 2”), is two-timing her, Estelle lets the lyrics speaks for itself.

One verse goes:

Sometimes I wonder could she be
More of a woman to you
Than you were a man to me
Sometimes I wonder why me
I’m here miserable
While you’re out living your fantasies
And didn’t care

Back in November, the London-born singer gave an overwrought performance at BET’s Black Girls Rock celebration. She sang with such conviction and passion that she literally had tears streaming from her face when she belted out:

So I thank you
Said I thank you
Yes I thank you
For making me a woman

One thing I learned in life
We all gotta go through to survive
I hope she’s happy
‘Cause you’re the chapter that I’ll be closing
Hope you’re happy
‘Cause once my door closes it won’t be open

Her last note was met with an astounding round of applause by the audience.

If that jubilation (and perhaps vindication) is any indication as to how the single will fair, we think Estelle may have a number one hit on her hands.

Along with a new video, the singer is in a new age bracket too. Estelle turns 30 today (Happy Birthday Estelle!!), but celebrated at Abe’s & Arthur’s with friends in New York City on Monday.

What do you make of Estelle’s new video?
